Let's Talk About Pants is back - afternoon and evening Thursday August 27th, London

  1. Are you interested in being a Pants model for us?
  2. Are you willing to prance and pose in some Pants and have your photo shared with the other models and a small group of our supporters? (if you're willing for us to share the images publicly all the better but we can make it work without)
  3. Will you be in London August 27th afternoon/evening?
  4. Would you like to come and play dress up?

Many of you know that over the last year or so, we've been trying to find ways of taking photos of our Pants, on actual women's bodies rather than mannequins, that show where the pants sit, without sexualising or objectifying the women wearing them.

We've run workshops around this, asked questions online, met lots of you lovely women to discuss it. It's been really interesting. What's genuinely interesting is that those of you who know us have said broadly similar things - body hair is ok, natural women doing natural things are good, women looking happy is good. And for all of you, 'sexy' poses are out. Kate Devlin made a suggestion about goats that isn't as rude as it could be, and lots of ideas came up about women wearing what they wanted, being comfortable and having fun in groups.

Also interesting is that women - and men - who don't know us so well have said stuff like that too - but more of them have also bristled at the idea that Pants shouldn't be sexy. One man came to our Let's Talk About Pants event in London and got Very Cross because He Works In Fashion and He Knows What Women Want. Oddly, he seemed unable to process the fact that the room full of women knew what they wanted and it wasn't what he thought...

So anyway. Where we're at now is that we have a LOAD of ideas on how to do this and we want to test them out.

We're going to be in London on August 27th with a camera, a bag of dressing up stuff, a load of Pants, some refreshments and a smile! We're going to take a load of pictures of the ideas we've collated, and then we'll share them with you and we'll decide which ones we like best - and then we'll do a more directed photo shoot based on the ones we all think work best.

We already have a load of volunteer models but we'd LOVE more. If you're interested in coming along please email curious at whomadeyourpants.co.uk with your

  1. Name
  2. Size
  3. Dietary requirements
  4. Times you are available

And we will get back to you! Thank you so much!
