Angela Clarke is the author of Confessions of a Fashionista: The Good, The Bad and The Botox - a hilarious memoir of her time working in the fashion industry. She has written for The Guardian, The Independent Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Lifetime, and Writing Magazine, among others. When she is not working on her second book she can be found on Twitter (so that's most of the time).
'I discovered Who Made Your Pants when they appeared all over my Twitter timeline. These gorgeous pants were EVERYWHERE! When I learned of the company's environmental fabric sourcing, ethical working conditions, and how they offered employment, training, and opportunities to women who've had a hard time I was sold. I like pants that are big enough to cover my bum, and my social conscience.
Initially I was attracted by Who Made Your Pants' ethos, and I wasn't prepared for how luscious these knickers are. Sexy, flattering, and comfortable I could eat them all up.'
When not being tempted to eat pants or avoid writing books, Angela goes swimming. She told us about this interesting conversation...
Me: trowelling on the body moisturiser, pulling on my pants, and worrying if I left my office plug-in radiator switched on.
A fellow lady swimmer interrupts my 'do I need to call the fire brigade about the radiator' reverie: "Such pretty underwear, where are they from?"
"Who Made Your Pants," I reply.
"Oh they're [dull high street chain]. I want to know where yours are from."
"Who Made Your Pants."
"I just told you," says the lady swimmer, looking miffed. "Where are yours from?"
"Who Made Your Pants."
At which point I collapsed in giggles. (Don't worry, when I'd stopped the lady swimmer from backing away looking scared, I gave her the website details.)
