The Vagenda

Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett and Holly Baxter are the amazing, sweary and hilarious women behind ‘The Vagenda'. Our Becky wrote about who we wear our pants for, for them back in 2012 and we're delighted that they are now Women Who Know who made their pants...

How did you find out about Who Made Your Pants?

'We met Becky on Twitter, because of our blog The Vagenda. She was into what we were doing and we’ve both always been interested in ethical fashion (Rhiannon used to work for an ethical fashion website) so that’s how we got talking. We just published a book, The Vagenda: A Zero Tolerance Guide to the Media, and there’s a whole chapter in there about pants and how cheap knickers are uncomfortable and can make you feel miserable (need we say the word ‘thrush’, ladies?) and so, basically, we have shared pant-related feelings, which is even more romantic than it sounds.

[The pants] are so amazingly comfortable and ‘smooth-feeling’ (is that weird? It’s weird, isn’t it?) But you get so used to wearing uncomfortable knickers that when you find a pair that feel nice and actually cover your bum properly it’s a real treat. Nice-feeling knickers should not be a treat, however. They should be a human right.

Which are your favourite pants and why?

This doesn’t sound very sexy but honestly? Our favourite pants are just normal pants. Pants that are comfy and easy to move around in can also be pretty, as Who Made Your Pants demonstrates, which is why we love our new pants so much.

Where is the most unusual place you have worn the pants?

Rhiannon: After the pub last weekend my boyfriend and I crashed our neighbours’ house party. We were so drunk that we just walked in, despite them having hired a bouncer (who does that?) It was full of French people in their fifties dancing to Depeche Mode. One of them opened a champagne bottle with a knife, and a couple were practically having sex in the kitchen. That was pretty unusual.

Holly: Waitrose. I’m a total cheapskate, so that was pretty unusual.
